Humane wool for sale

Let me say first that I am not going to start selling wool. Nope, absolutely not. This is a one shot deal. I happen to have some wool that I don't like as much as some other wool I have, and so I'd like to sell it to someone that will like it lots. It's actually kind of strange. There seems to be no difference in the wool, except to me, and only when I'm spinning it. Both bill and I have looked, peered, rubbed, etc and can find no discernible difference, however when I spin it, it feels different to me (but not to anyone else). And my mom just bought me a whole load of wonderful new wool, so...I'm selling the 10 lbs of the old stuff, if anyone wants it, check out the listing in the shop.

It's from a small, humane, no-kill farm. I bought it raw, had it washed and processed into top, so that's the state it's in now. It's undyed, creamy in color, mid-grade softness with a nice sheen, I could use it for next to skin, but someone more sensitive, maybe not. When I spin hat kits, I don't use it around the face. It's been a while here so I can't tell you the sheep's name anymore but the breed was corriedale. It's really quite nice, it's just that it and I don't see eye to eye. I'm selling it cheaper than the cost of the wool and processing cost me because I'd rather it get spun that just sit around my studio and mope.

I've got 10 lbs.
8oz for $12.00
1lb for $20.00
5 lb for $90.00
all 10 lb for $160.00

leave a comment if you're interested, or you can purchase on my site -- www.insubordiknit.com/yarn

also open to some trades!

hair cares

I tried. I really freakin' tried. And like time and time again, I failed, failed, failed. My hair will never be long and luxurious, not to mentioned pigtailed. Nope. It gets to the point it was at, about shoulder length, and I start to twitch, then the scissors and clippers come out, and I've got this same old haircut (mostly because it's the only one I can do on my own). My mom says it looks best on me, something about my chin and neck, or something. Bill thinks it's cute. I appreciate the ease of it, what about you (and yes, I know that it's violating like the first rule of blogging -- never ask your readers a direct question about, of all things, you freakin' hairstyle.

Also, I've been sick, more when I'm all recovered. I've got at least 2, maybe 3 rows of knitting to show you!

Yarn, sweetpea, and jimmydean

Yes! An update! I can hardly believe it myself. I've decided to copy some of my blog entries into my LJ so that it's easier for my LJ friends. werd. And yarns too, I'll post yarny stuff too! Oh, and stuff that I can't post on my blog, like juicy family gossip, sexy bits, and complaining, lots of complaining.

I can't believe that this week i got 11 yarns and 3 MHKs done -- above are a few of my favorites, check those halos, and the nifty way I've got them arranged, all small and organized. All this and I can nurse a baby that's a fiend for the boob. And she is, you know, a fiend for it. I've got porn star nipples and jimmy dean areolas, those of you that've nursed know what I mean, right? Thankfully both diminish after time, but for now, wowsa, look out, I can poke an eye and feed ya breakfast.

Life's been the strangest lately, the busiest unbusy I've ever been. The exhaustion has finally worn off though, and that's like new life. And my friends, who know that internet pals could be so sweet? First, the comments, heck, I should have a baby every entry, my highest number evah! And no padding that baby either, it's like I'm the harlot, or Eunny for a single entry. I didn't know that many people read my blog. Not only the comments -- but mail too! Cards and gifts, homemade blankets, knitted baby items, yarn, etc. Wow. Really overwhelming. Truly.

She's doing wonderfully, btw. Four weeks and if feels like forever (in a good way, like I can't imagine a time without her). Here's a pic from a few days ago, check that rocker hand! She has my hands -- perfect little replicas, down to the crooked pinkie. I read that this week she's supposed to start making sounds, you know, baby sounds other than crying, like finding her voice. I suppose she has, it's just adorable, lovely really, Bill and I both agree that it sounds closest to shifting gears without the use of a clutch. Like music to a mother's ears.
